Berkeley Car-Free Housing

Car-free housing is built specifically for people who do not have cars. It does not provide off-street parking for residents, and residents cannot get on-street parking permits. When they move in, residents sign a contract saying they will not have a car while they live there.

A number of groups have proposed an ordinance that would allow developers to build car-free housing in Berkeley, California.

Next Car-free housing meeting: To be determined.
